The Safety Consultation & Training Section (SCATS) of the State of Nevada provides no-cost consultation services to Nevada employers upon request. Consultants assist employers in evaluating safety and health programs, identifying and addressing hazards to prevent work related injuries.  The SCATS industrial hygienists (IH) provide occupational health services which may involve conducting noise surveys and airborne monitoring as necessary. Consultation services are available to address limited or specific concerns as well as on a comprehensive basis where consultants evaluate an employer's safety and health program and provide guidance on incorporating safety and health management into daily operations.  Additionally, training services are available based on our quarterly schedule or offsite by request.
