RESPIRABLE CRYSTALLINE SILICA FOR GENERAL INDUSTRY AND CONSTRUCTION Reno
This program includes an overview of the OSHA Respirable crystalline silica standard 1926.1153 and 1910.1053. The program will give a brief history of silica and silicosis as it has affected and continues to affect workers. The standard will be discussed in detail as to how it pertains to construction and general industry work and tasks, how to protect workers from silica exposure, and the requirements necessary to attain compliance. Topics covered include: Exposure control methods, respiratory protection, housekeeping and medical surveillance.
